About Us
Midwest Family and Community Services (MFCR) was founded by Robert Thurman, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of clinical experience. Realizing that behavioral health has traditionally lacked the importance and compassion that medical services have garnered and often does not properly match patient needs to therapist capabilities, Mr. Thurman sought to change this paradigm by creating a company that focuses on ensuring patients are focal point to aligning the proper therapists. To achieve this, he developed a network of therapists (LCPCs, LCSWs, Psychologists) and psychiatrists with various areas of expertise. When a patient is assessed at MFCR, this assessment determines with therapists and psychiatrist is best suited for that patient's needs. This is just one of several key areas that Mr. Thurman sought to achieve. A second major component is to measure patient outcomes.
This unique methodology has enable MFCR to develop a key niche in behavioral healthcare services within the Chicagoland area.
